To counter the opposition move to woo Chaudhry brothers of the PML-Q, Prime Minister Imran Khan will meet them during his day-long visit to Lahore on Tuesday, it is learnt.

According to insiders, the premier will listen to the concerns of the PML-Q, which is an ally of the government, and would try to retain their support.

The PML-N, the PPP and the JUI-F leadership held meetings with the Chaudhry brothers in order to take them on board for their no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan.

During his visit, PM Imran would also meet the governor, chief minister, members of the cabinet and provincial assembly.

The premier would also chair a meeting of the Punjab parliamentary board, where important decisions regarding local body elections will be taken.

It may be recalled that the PPP and the JUI-F suggested to the PML-N that the office of Punjab chief minister be offered to Pervaiz Elahi to get his support for the proposed no-confidence motion against the premier.
