Bollywood’s it-couple tied the knot in a fairytale wedding ceremony at the Six Senses Fort Barwara in Rajasthan after months of media speculation and fan hype.

The couple looked beautiful in traditional ensembles designed by Sabyasachi for their big day. Vicky went for an ivory and gold sherwani, while Katrina looked ethereal in a gorgeous red lehenga choli with gold embellishment. The Sooryavanshi star opted for chunky jewelry and a floral bun with minimal makeup to complete her look. The newlyweds then shared some breathtaking pictures from the event with their fans via social media.

The post read, “Only love and gratitude in our hearts for everything that brought us to this moment. Seeking all your love and blessings as we begin this new journey together”.

Sabyasachi, took to Instagram as well and shared the details about the couple’s outfits. “The bride Katrina Kaif wears a classic Sabyasachi red bridal lehenga in handwoven matka silk with fine tilla work and meticulously embroidered revival zardozi borders in velvet. In homage to the groom’s Punjabi roots, her veil is custom-trimmed with handmade kiran in hand-beaten silver electroplated in gold,” the post with the couple’s pictures read.

It further said, “The lehenga is paired with bespoke bridal jewelry of uncut diamonds in 22k gold detailed with hand-strung pearls from Sabyasachi Heritage Jewellery.”

Penning about the Uri star’s sherwani, Sabyasachi wrote, “The groom Vicky Kaushal wears an ivory silk sherwani with intricate marori embroidery and iconic Sabyasachi handcrafted gold plated Bengal Tiger buttons, with a silk kurta and churidar.”

The post further shared, “The shawl is a tussar georgette with a zari marori embroidered pallu and borders. The gold Benarasi silk tissue safa is paired with a handcrafted kilangi and statement necklace studded in emeralds, brilliant-cut and rose-cut diamonds, quartz and tourmalines in 18k gold from Sabyasachi Heritage Jewellery.”

According to The Indian Express, the couple hosted a private party for guests on Tuesday, with Haldi and Sangeet ceremonies taking place on Wednesday for friends and family. The couple arrived at the venue earlier this week, with guests asked to stick to strict protocols that limit the usage of cell phones to maintain the privacy of the celebrity bride and groom.

According to reports, the consistent secrecy around Bollywood’s lovebirds Katrina and Vicky’s romantic journey to their royal nuptials has been all a part of a bigger plan. For the couple’s fans to get full access to the inside of the destination wedding, the couple officially sold the telecast rights of their wedding to streaming giant Amazon Prime Video for a staggering amount of INR 800 million, reported Mid-day.

The streaming giant will cover their journey from being friends to lovers to their engagement and then finally showcase the four-day gala celebration in Rajasthan. Vicky and Katrina’s wedding video will reportedly premiere on the digital platform in early 2022. To ensure nothing from the ceremonies is leaked before it gets streamed, the couple got their guests to sign an NDA and kept a no-mobile-phone policy throughout the ceremonies.
