Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan will announce the dissolution of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa assemblies next week.
Quoting PTI sources, Bol News said on Tuesday that Imran will address all PTI assembly members in this regard through a video link.
They said that Imran has also called KP and Punjab parliamentary party meetings on Friday and Saturday.
The PTI chief take both the provincial parliamentary party members into confidence regarding the dissolution of the assemblies, they added.
Sources said that in the meeting, Imran would inform the members about his strategy in the current political situation.
On the other hand, PTI has kicked off preparations for the next general elections.
The party has instructed all leaders and workers to formally start preparations in the next 72 hours.
During his address to the participants of Haqeeqi Azadi march on Nov 26 in Rawalpindi, Imran said he did not want to remain a part of the present corrupt political system and announced his decision to dissolve KP and Punjab assemblies.
Interestingly, the PDM had been asking Imran to dissolve KP and Punjab assemblies if he wanted early elections and vowed that if he would do that, the alliance would hold general elections. However, after Imran’s announcement, the PDM has taken a U turn and trying its utmost to keep Punjab and KP assemblies intact, threatening to table no-confidence motion against chief ministers or imposing governor’s rule.
