Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan said he was expecting to be arrested at three or four o’clock in the night, but the way party leader Murad Saeed mobilised the people “is admirable”.

Addressing the parliamentary party in Islamabad, Imran gave credit to Saeed for mobilising the people in such a way that his arrest was averted. “They (police) wanted to arrest me at 3 am or 4 am. I always have this method when a match is stuck – the other comes under pressure.”

The former prime minister said that PTI leader Shahbaz Gill was tortured due to which “I asked them to take action,” but on the contrary, “a terrorism case was established against me”.

Due to this mistake, the issue went global, from which “we benefited”, he added.

He said no other part got so much popularity as the PTI did. “A revolution is coming in the country and you are all a part of the revolution.

“This time should not be wasted. You guys should go to your constituencies where the people are waiting for you.

“Election of nine constituencies will be beneficial for us.”

Imran informed the members about the future strategy. Secretary General Asad Umar assigned various tasks to the members.

According to insiders, teams were formed in the meeting for all the upcoming by-elections and the members were instructed to mobilise workers at the local level before Imran’s rallies.

Imran also met with Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Mahmood Khan and Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi. Moonis Elahi was also present in the meeting held at Bani Gala.

Elahi expressed serious concern regarding the “revenge tactics” against the PTI, saying that the Punjab government stood with the party in every way.

The CM assured the former premier of making all kinds of arrangements regarding his and other party leaders’ security.

Elahi briefed Imran about the political and administrative situation of Punjab.

Punjab Interior Minister Hashim Dogar also met with Imran. Imran gave important instructions to the Punjab CM in case of arrest.

The PTI workers who came from different areas were present at Imran Khan Chowk and the main gate at Bani Gala for the second day, but after Imran’s obtained a pre-arrest bail, most of the workers went back.
