In the last 24 hours, 1,910 people tested positive for COVID-19 in Pakistan while 64 lost their lives, according to the latest statistics released by the National Command and Control Centre (NCOC). Most deaths were recorded in the province of Sindh followed by Punjab.

As of January 28, the total active COVID-19 cases in Pakistan stand at 33,295. Yesterday, 40,825 tests were conducted with Sindh conducting 11,164; Punjab: 15,341; Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: 7,225; Islamabad: 5,775; Balochistan: 577; Gilgit-Baltistan: 319 and Azad Kashmir: 392.

Out of 1,756 ventilators reserved for COVID-19 patients in the country, 299 ventilators are currently occupied. There is no patient on the ventilator in AJK, GB and Balochistan.

A total of 539,387 cases have been detected so far in the country with AJK reporting 8,931; Balochistan: 18,788; GB: 4,906, ICT: 41,076, KPK: 66,198; Punjab: 155,805 and Sindh: 243,683.

Till now, Pakistan has recorded 11,514 deaths. Punjab is on top of the list with 4,661 casualties followed by Sindh: 3,957, KPK: 1,870; Islamabad: 472; Balochistan: 193; GB: 102 and AJK: 259.

631 hospitals in Pakistan are equipped with COVID-19 facilities with 2,628 patients being treated. Till now, Pakistan has conducted 7,804,935 tests.
