In the last 24 hours, 1,425 people tested positive for COVID-19 while 11 lost their lives, according to the latest statistics released by the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC). Most casualties were seen in the province of Punjab followed by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

As of July 23, the total active COVID-19 cases in Pakistan stand at 53,623. On Thursday, 25,215 tests were conducted with Sindh conducting 9,875; Punjab: 8,970; Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP): 3,464 Islamabad(ICT): 1,174; Balochistan: 665; Gilgit-Baltistan(GB): 637 and Azad Kashmir (AJK): 430.

Out of 1,756 ventilators reserved for COVID-19 patients in the country, 254 ventilators are currently occupied. There is no patient on the ventilator in GB and Balochistan. So far, Pakistan has seen a total of 923,472 recoveries.

A total of 1,000,034 cases have been detected so far in the country with AJK reporting 22,592; Balochistan: 29,357; GB: 7,606; ICT: 85,230, KP: 141,359; Punjab: 351,707 and Sindh: 362,182.

Till now, Pakistan has recorded 22,939 deaths. Punjab is on top of the list with 10,909 casualties followed by Sindh: 5,785 KP: 4,405; Islamabad: 789; Balochistan: 321; GB: 122 and AJK: 608.

639 hospitals in Pakistan are equipped with COVID-19 facilities with 2,828 patients being treated across the country. A total of 15,584,899 tests have been conducted so far in the country since the pandemic started.
