The third wave of COVID-19 continues to wreak havoc as Pakistan registered 114 deaths in the last 24 hours, according to the National Command and Control Centre (NCOC). Most casualties were seen in the province of Punjab followed by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK). Furthermore, 5055 people tested positive in the country.

As of April 10, the total active COVID-19 cases in Pakistan stand at 73,875. Yesterday, 40,066 tests were conducted with Sindh conducting 8,685; Punjab:19,016; Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP):8,414; Islamabad(ICT):7,225; Balochistan:829; Gilgit-Baltistan(GB):739 and Azad Kashmir (AJK):1,160.

Out of 1,756 ventilators reserved for COVID-19 patients in the country, 518 ventilators are currently occupied. There is no patient on the ventilator in GB, and Balochistan. So far, Pakistan has seen a total of 623,399 recoveries.

A total of 721,018 cases have been detected so far in the country with AJK reporting 14,461; Balochistan:20,241; GB:5,127; ICT:65,700, KP:98,301; Punjab:248,438 and Sindh:268,750.

Till now, Pakistan has recorded 15,443 deaths. Punjab is on top of the list with 6,972 casualties followed by Sindh: 4,529; KP:2,618; Islamabad: 607; Balochistan: 215; GB: 103 and AJK: 399.

630 hospitals in Pakistan are equipped with COVID-19 facilities with 4,920 patients being treated across the country. A total of 10,734,960 tests have been conducted so far.
