In the last 24 hours, 1,165 people tested positive for COVID-19 in Pakistan while 56 lost their lives, according to the latest statistics released by the National Command and Control Centre (NCOC). Most casualties were seen in the province of Punjab followed by Sindh.

As of February 17, the total active COVID-19 cases in Pakistan stand at 25,008. Yesterday, 33,196 tests were conducted with Sindh conducting 9,504; Punjab: 10,775; Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: 6,595; Islamabad: 4,995; Balochistan: 597; Gilgit-Baltistan: 377 and Azad Kashmir: 353.

Out of 1,756 ventilators reserved for COVID-19 patients in the country, 247 ventilators are currently occupied. There is no patient on the ventilator in AJK, GB and Balochistan.

A total of 565,989 cases have been detected so far in the country with AJK reporting 9,562; Balochistan: 18,954; GB: 4,943; ICT: 42,921, KPK: 70,123; Punjab: 165,200 and Sindh: 254,286.

Till now, Pakistan has recorded 12,436 deaths. Punjab is on top of the list with 5,114 casualties followed by Sindh: 4,244; KPK: 2,007; Islamabad: 486; Balochistan: 199; GB: 102 and AJK: 284.

631 hospitals in Pakistan are equipped with COVID-19 facilities with 2,113 patients being treated. Till now, Pakistan has conducted 8,531,218 tests.
