There has been a spike in the COVID-19 cases since last week and the positivity ratio was recorded at 4.05% on Sunday, the highest since May 30.

In the last 24 hours, the country registered 27 fatalities due to COVID-19 while 1,980 people tested positive, according to the latest statistics released by the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC). Most casualties were seen in the province of Sindh followed by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

As of July 11, the total active COVID-19 cases in Pakistan stand at 37,499. On Friday, 48,382 tests were conducted with Sindh conducting 16,929; Punjab: 17,062; Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP): 10,035 Islamabad(ICT): 1,670; Balochistan: 1,039; Gilgit-Baltistan(GB): 641 and Azad Kashmir (AJK): 1,006.

Out of 1,756 ventilators reserved for COVID-19 patients in the country, 211 ventilators are currently occupied. There is no patient on the ventilator in GB and Balochistan. So far, Pakistan has seen a total of 913,203 recoveries.

A total of 973,284 cases have been detected so far in the country with AJK reporting 21,067; Balochistan: 27,961; GB: 6,851; ICT: 83,647, KP: 139,313; Punjab: 348,085 and Sindh: 346,360.

Till now, Pakistan has recorded 22,582 deaths. Punjab is on top of the list with 10,819 casualties followed by Sindh: 5,599 KP: 4,359; Islamabad: 783; Balochistan: 317; GB: 111 and AJK: 594.

639 hospitals in Pakistan are equipped with COVID-19 facilities with 2,390 patients being treated across the country. A total of 15,056,787 tests have been conducted so far in the country since the pandemic started.
