In the last 24 hours, 72 people lost their lives due to COVID-19 in Pakistan. Punjab saw the highest number of fatalities with 57 followed by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK). Furthermore, 3,270 people tested positive, according to the National Command and Control Centre (NCOC).

As of March 23, the total active COVID-19 cases in Pakistan stand at 34,535. Yesterday, 39,742 tests were conducted with Sindh conducting 6,622; Punjab: 20,279; Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP): 6,278; Islamabad (ICT): 5,384; Balochistan: 249; Gilgit-Baltistan (GB): 246 and Azad Kashmir (AJK): 684.

Of the ventilators reserved for COVID-19 patients, 334 are occupied across Pakistan. 32% of the reserved ventilators are occupied in Peshawar, 32% in Multan, 52% in Islamabad, and 52% in Lahore. No patients are on ventilators in Balochistan, AJK, and GB.

A total of 633,741 cases have been detected so far in the country with AJK reporting 11,792; Balochistan:19,347; GB:4,974; ICT:52,676, KPK:80,519; Punjab: 200,969 and Sindh:263,464.

Till now, Pakistan has recorded 13,935 deaths. Punjab is on top of the list with 6,039 casualties followed by Sindh: 4479; KPK: 2,225; Islamabad: 548; Balochistan: 203; GB: 103 and AJK: 338.

631 hospitals in Pakistan are equipped with COVID-19 facilities with 3,019 patients being treated across the country. A total of 9,857,233 tests have been conducted so far.
