Over the last 24 hours, 1,541 people tested positive for COVID-19 in Pakistan, and 32 people lost their lives, according to data released by the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC).

As of February 26, 2021, there are 22,285 active cases of COVID-19 in Pakistan. Punjab continues to register the most number of COVID-19 deaths, followed by KPK and Sindh.

The number of fatalities registered in the provinces stands at 5,323 in Punjab, 4,322 in Sindh, 2,065 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), 496 in Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT), 200 in Balochistan, 102 in Gilgit Baltistan (GB), and 296 in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).

To date, a total of 575,941 COVID-19 cases have been reported in Pakistan (AJK 10,022; Balochistan 19,010; GB 4,955, ICT 43,901; KP 71,490; Punjab 169,474; Sindh 257,089).

So far, 539,888 people have recovered across Pakistan, making it a significant count.

According to NCOC, a total of 41,849 tests conducted on 25 Feb. Sindh tested 8,709, Punjab 18,079, KP 6995, ICT 6,252, Balochistan 802, and AJK tested 664 people for COVID-19.
