Honda Atlas goes for up to Rs0.55m hike in car prices

Honda Atlas – one of the leading car assemblers in Pakistan – hiked the prices of different models by up to Rs0.55 million as it cited uncertain economic conditions, rising cost and volatility in foreign exchange rates as the reasons.

The move comes just over a week after Indus Motor – the assembler of Toyota – raised prices in the range of Rs0.28 million to Rs1.2 million.

According to the latest prices, Honda City MT 1.2L and CVT 1.2L are now available for Rs4.069 million and Rs4.199 million respectively after an increase of Rs0.30 million. Similarly, the new price of City CVT 1.5L is Rs4.449 after an increase of Rs.0.31 million.

In the case of City Asp MT 1.5L and City Asp CVT 1.5L, their prices have reached to Rs4.629 million and Rs4.799 million up by Rs0.32 million and Rs0.33 million.

With a rise of Rs0.36 million to Rs0.4 million, Honda Atlas has fixed the price of BR-V S, HR-V VTI and HRV VTI S at Rs5.299 million, Rs6.399 million and Rs6.599 million as compared to Rs4.939 million, Rs5.999 million and Rs6.199 million.

Honda Civic 1.5L M CVT, Oriel M CVT and 1.5L LL CVT now carry new price of Rs6.849 million, Rs7.099 million and Rs8.099 million as compared to Rs6.349 million, Rs6.599 million and Rs7.549 million, showing a jump of Rs0.50 million to Rs0.55 million.

The company also mentioned that these prices — ex-factory rates inclusive of sales tax, federal excise duty and CVT — are provisional and the price applicable at the time of delivery will be final.

Moreover, the customers would also bear any government tax applicable at the time of delivery and the committed delivery time may delay due to the current uncertain import situation.
