Cherat Cement Company Limited’s Board of Directors (BoD) has approved the installation of a greenfield cement plant at Dera Ismail Khan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP). This plant will have an installed production capacity of 11,000 tons per day.

This development was tweeted by Capital Stake’s official account, “#PSXUpdate$CHCC‘s BoD’s approve installation of a greenfield cement plant at D.I. Khan, KPK with an installed production capacity of 11,000 tons/ day of clinker. The total cost of the project is estimated to be approximately Rs34bn, expected to be completed in 3 years.”

The notice read, “In accordance with Sections 96 and 131 of the Securities Act,2015 and clause 5.6.1 (a) of the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) Limited Regulations, Cherat Cement Company Limited would like to inform you that the Board of Directors of the company in its meeting held on June 24, 2021, has approved the installation of a greenfield cement plant at D.I. Khan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).”
