KARACHI: Atlas Honda is all set to launch its new bike CB125F ‘2021 model’ with blue and white colour soon and it will be available for sale in Pakistan in next few weeks, the dealer said

“The company has dispatched the bikes and will be available on dealerships soon in a few weeks,” a dealer of Honda told The Correspondent.

The company has introduced a new model with blue and white body colour with all-important features including self-start and a black rear support bar.

The official dealer of the company said that the bike has 125cc 4-stroke OHV engine with air cooling system, with expected 11hp. The motorcycle has a 5-speed transmission with both self and kick-start options. The bike has telescope suspension at front and swingarm at the rear. Meanwhile, bike’s dry weight is 122-kilogram.

Technically, the company has designed the bike while following the same basic formula for Honda 125 bikes. The machine has a lightweight body and frame propelled by the old but very reliable CG125cc. Furthermore, this one also has a single-cylinder petrol engine with overhead valve technology.

Additionally, the CB125F has been prepared with most of the parts from CG125 Dream and Deluxe, including engine, chassis, exhaust top and drivetrain. Meanwhile, the company has fixed some parts such as wheels and front disc brake of CB150F.

According to the dealers, despite no difference from its previous models and no technical upgrade, the price of the bike is kept at Rs 187,500 above Rs 18,000 from its competitor Yamaha YB125Z DX, which is available at Rs 169.500. As per most of the bike lover, Yamaha’s bike is better-equipped against Honda’s.

Atlas Honda has been increasing the price of its bikes, without introducing any noticeable change in its power, design or performance, the dealers said. The company has been merely upgrading the body stickers and look of the bikes, very marginally, they added.

They said that the major difference between the models lies in the fact that the CBF had a frame-mounted fairing while the CB opted for a fork-mounted unit. This time around, the CB125F is keeping its name but earns some key updates for 2021.

They claimed that lightweight motorcycles are best for beginners and Honda re-engineered the chassis to help the little learner bike shed 24 pounds. Coupling the 258-pound curb weight with the 31-inch seat height, and the CB125F is one of the most approachable platforms on the market, the dealers said.

Honda also revamped the air-cooled 124cc single to meet EURO-5 specifications. The brand’s enhanced smart power technology reduced resistance and friction in the two-valve SOHC engine while simultaneously improving fuel efficiency and power output. The tiny thumper now manages 10.7 horsepower and 7.5 lb-ft of torque while reaching a maximum range of 490 miles on a 2.9-gallon tank.
