Bollywood’s Shah Rukh Khan has been making headlines for the last three weeks after his son Aryan Khan was taken into custody over a drug bust. The 23-year-old star kid was arrested by Narcotics Control Bureau on October 2. Since then, SRK has been a topic of discussion and how he and his family have been a victim of ethnic discrimination in India.
While Bollywood stands with the Diwale star, India’s ruling party BJP has lent support to NCB for keeping Aryan in jail. His bail plea has been rejected several times by the Indian courts. Along with Bollywood stars, Pakistani artists, too, lent support to SRK.
“Sir, Shah Rukh Khan, leave India and shift to Pakistan along with your family,” popular host Waqar Zaka shared on Twitter. “This is bullshit what Narendra Modi government is doing with your family, I stand with Shah Rukh Khan,” he added.
In another tweet, Zaka said, “Trust me Shah Rukh Khan in Pakistan , unintentionally a film star killed a guy in road accident but since he’s a famous actor , not only TV channel owner but all helped him no jail nothing . We respect ppl who entertain us , just come to Pakistan the most helpful nation.”
His suggestion prompted trolling and rib-tickling responses from tweeps.
Soon after the news of Aryan’s arrest broke out, many Bollywood stars lent support to the Khan family. The same day of Aryan’s detainment, Filmfare reported Salman Khan was seen making his way to Shah Rukh’s residence, Mannat. But it didn’t stop there. Filmmaker Sanjay Gupta and designer Farah Khan Ali also joined the Bollywood celebrities voicing support for the star following his son’s arrest.
