Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed has clarified that the name of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) President Shehbaz Sharif has not yet been added to the Exit Control List (ECL).
The minister shared on Saturday on his Twitter handle a video in which he is talking to a private news channel saying that the summary forwarded by the Interior Ministry to place the name of Shehbaz Sharif on ECL has not yet been received.
Sheikh Rasheed said that the summary could be received by Monday.
He said NAB (National Accountability Bureau) has sent a summary to place the name of Shehbaz Sharif on the ECL.
The summary has not yet been received from the Cabinet, he added.
Five members of the Sharif family are absconders in the Hudabiya case, he wrote on his Twitter page.
The Correspondent has earlier reported that the name of Shehbaz Sharif has been placed on the ECL after the approval from the cabinet on Thursday.
